Yasuph - Freaky Friday-Lil Dicky featuring chris brown



Hey guys, my name is Yasuph and I will be posting weekly on Sundays. I Study at Macquarie uni and I am also a dancer so I'm always dancing to new music so I'll be reviewing music that I've been dancing to.

This weeks song is Freaky Friday by Lil Dicky featuring Chris Brown, it is number 9 on the Billboard Hot 100. The Title of this song is a reference to a Disney movie released in 2003 called the same name, in which actor Lindsey Lohan switches bodies with her mum.

Similarly to the movie the song freaky Friday talks about the perspectives of the artists Chris Brown and Lil Dicky switching bodies for a day talking about how they are experiencing their time in the other artist's body. This adds a really comedic effect to the song as there is a lot of humor when two very different artists switch bodies and experience the other artist body for a day.

 The producer Dj mustard uses a simple bass drum and snares over synthesizers gives the song production a really upbeat and feel good vibe. This song is a really fun song to dance to especially in parties, all the DJ's that have played this song at parties have always had the crowd to sing along and dance along to it.

Hey guys!! It's Yasuph again and I am back this Sunday to review another song from the billboard hot 100. This week I will be reviewing "better now" by hip-hop artist Post Malone, he has also recently set a new record for most songs from an album being in the hot 100 charts beating previous artist J.Cole. "Better Now" has placed 7th this week for the second time in a row and from listening to the track you can tell how it has maintained its position. This single comes off Post Malone's Second studio album, "beerbongs & bentleys", which explores his feelings and how he's coping a couple months after a breakup when his partner has moved on with another man. This song can be really relatable for anyone who has been through a breakup and so the relatability may have been a factor as to why this song has remained fo high on the charts for two weeks in a row. Emily - 'In My Blood' by Shawn Mendes Review

Hello friends, how have you all been? Lately I have been listening to Shawn Mendes' new single, "In My Blood".  The song currently sits on number 36 for the seventh week in a row in the Billboard Hot 100. The reason why I love this song so much is the composition of the music and message within the lyrics. The song is raw with emotions, which explores the 'vulnerable' side of the singer. The lyrics have profound symbolism and meaning, with the opening lyrics establishing his anxiety " help me, it’s like the walls are caving in, s ometimes I feel like giving up" . This is a reoccurring theme throughout the song with, " I'm overwhelmed and insecure" reinforcing the singer's pain and desperation to the point where "no medicine is strong enough".  However the song moves onto a more empowering motion in the chorus with the music becoming more upbeat as the singer almost yells "It isn't in my blood" a...
