Sanjeev - ATM by J.Cole

Hi guys hope you had a great week! Today I will be reviewing ATM by J Cole which is featured in his latest album KOD. The song has grown popular of late and is currently 6 on the Billboard Hot 100.

This song has a chill beat which you can listen to while cruising on the highway or listening to it on a train, but the verses Cole delivers are deep and focuses on the addiction money can lead to as J Cole says “Can’t take it when you die, but you can’t live without it”. The chorus of the song is very catchy with the repetition of “Count it up” referring to money. The music video that accompanies this song very much explains what J Cole is rapping about and suits the song very well.

I would say it’s a decent song but kind of loses momentum in the second half of the rap therefore I would give it an 8/10. See you guys next week!

This week I will be reviewing "better now" by hip-hop artist Post Malone, he has also recently set a new record for most songs from an album being in the hot 100 charts beating previous artist J.Cole. "Better Now" has placed 7th this week for the second time in a row and from listening to the track you can tell how it has maintained its position. This single comes off Post Malone's Second studio album, "beerbongs & bentleys", which explores his feelings and how he's coping a couple months after a breakup when his partner has moved on with another man. This song can be really relatable for anyone who has been through a breakup and so the relatability may have been a factor as to why this song has remained fo high on the charts for two weeks in a row. Emily - 'In My Blood' by Shawn Mendes Review

Hello friends, how have you all been? Lately I have been listening to Shawn Mendes' new single, "In My Blood".  The song currently sits on number 36 for the seventh week in a row in the Billboard Hot 100. The reason why I love this song so much is the composition of the music and message within the lyrics. The song is raw with emotions, which explores the 'vulnerable' side of the singer. The lyrics have profound symbolism and meaning, with the opening lyrics establishing his anxiety " help me, it’s like the walls are caving in, s ometimes I feel like giving up" . This is a reoccurring theme throughout the song with, " I'm overwhelmed and insecure" reinforcing the singer's pain and desperation to the point where "no medicine is strong enough".  However the song moves onto a more empowering motion in the chorus with the music becoming more upbeat as the singer almost yells "It isn't in my blood" a...
