Yasuph - "No tears left to cry" by Ariana Grande



Hey guys, it's yasuph and I'm back this Sunday to review another song from the hot 100. This week I will be reviewing the song "no tears left to cry" by Ariana Grande, who is also responsible for contributing other hits to the billboard hot 100.

This song is placed number 3 on the billboard hot 100 this week and it isn't hard to see why. The new single off her next studio album "sweetener" talks about the journey of gathering yourself in a low moment of life and taking strides forward. The message behind this song is inspiring and makes it easy to see why Ariana Grande is a great role model as she is encouraging people everywhere to re-gather themselves and keep moving forward form hard and terrible situations.

The song No tears left o cry incorporates an EDM music feel to it giving it an upbeat jumpy beat that is easy to dance along to. The song has a simple baseline which makes it very easy to groove along to and dance along to.

Once again Ariana delivers with her vocal performances singing in whistle tone effortlessly, which makes her music very pleasing to the ear. Also on this track, Ariana Grande does do parts in chest voice which contrasts her usual more well-known head voice runs, the contrast gives the song more depth and substance as you can hear different layers of her voice and therefore it keeps the songs more enjoyable rather than just having the whole song in head voice.

Overall this song is fun and easy to dance to, you will definitely hear this song in clubs and discos as it has such a nice upbeat tempo and is very groovy in parts. I have taken open dance classes with the teachers teaching this song and the song is always fun to dance along to.

This week I will be reviewing "better now" by hip-hop artist Post Malone, he has also recently set a new record for most songs from an album being in the hot 100 charts beating previous artist J.Cole. "Better Now" has placed 7th this week for the second time in a row and from listening to the track you can tell how it has maintained its position. This single comes off Post Malone's Second studio album, "beerbongs & bentleys", which explores his feelings and how he's coping a couple months after a breakup when his partner has moved on with another man. This song can be really relatable for anyone who has been through a breakup and so the relatability may have been a factor as to why this song has remained fo high on the charts for two weeks in a row. Hello friends, how have you all been? Lately I have been listening to Shawn Mendes' new single, "In My Blood".  The song currently sits on number 36 for the seventh week in a row in the Billboard Hot 100. The reason why I love this song so much is the composition of the music and message within the lyrics. The song is raw with emotions, which explores the 'vulnerable' side of the singer. The lyrics have profound symbolism and meaning, with the opening lyrics establishing his anxiety " help me, it’s like the walls are caving in, s ometimes I feel like giving up" .
